Meet the Smith Family

Welcome to the Smith Family—where love, laughter, and a little bit of chaos make our home complete.

Allen and I are college sweethearts who met at Michigan State University when I was just 17 and he was 21. At the time, that age gap felt huge, but our connection was even bigger. We dated for ten years while navigating long-distance, different states, different countries, and two evolving careers. In 2013, after a decade of growing together, we celebrated our dream wedding at the historic Westin Book Cadillac in downtown Detroit.

The Kids

Ace Dog – Our true firstborn and the loyal protector of the Smith household.

Sheldon – Our oldest son and dedicated soccer star, playing on one of the best travel leagues. Go Vardar!

Avery – Our princess with a big personality who loves creating videos, singing, gymnastics, and—of course—harassing Ace Dog with love.

Harper – Our wise old soul. Thoughtful, caring, and incredibly responsible, he’s the child who seems like he’s been here before.

Ashton – The youngest and the firecracker of the family. Bold, strong-willed, and full of determination.

Although we are grateful for a healthy marriage and healthy children, we're far from perfect. We navigate challenges like every other family, learning, growing, and giving ourselves grace along the way.

What grounds us is our commitment to leading with love, faith, and the intention to be good human beings.
